sai2 means to drive

lo1li5 means a car 

and I raise this is because people in our homeland say kui1 開 to mean to drive, a word loan from Mandarin.

Sai2 駛 is a very old Chinese word and sai2 cia1 駛車 means to drive a car. Let us be proud that our Teochew language is over thousand years old, where as Mandarin is only around 500 years old.
