Extra Teochew Expressions

After posting the 99 Teochew Expressions post, I thought that I had missed a number of Teochew words and expressions. I put this set together to share with you. If you think I have missed any, please comment and share. 

gê6 下	short in height	ai3 矮
guin5 危	tall	gao1 高
The guin5 character is also the character for dangerous as in nguin5hiam2 危險  but we Teochew normally say dangerous as lang6hiam2 𢤱險 not to be confused with another lang6hiam5 浪險｜浪险 which describes a capable person. Some of you may know hong1hiam2 風險 and this means risky or hazardous.

giam2bui5 減肥 means to go on a diet or to lose weight
sang2 㾪	thin	shou4 瘦
sang2bou2 㾪脯 means someone who is as thin as a rake.

iu1siu3 優秀	outstanding, remarkable	you1xiu4 優秀
sio2sêng1 小生	refine, polish, elegant, graceful, handsome	wen2ya3 文雅

ci1go1癡哥	lecherous, horny	好色的樣子｜好色的样子
