I was listening to the grandfather saying a Chinese saying at 3:05 and I could not write the sentence fully in Teochew.
I then was watching a Mandarin drama and the Emperor Yong Le said the same thing in Mandarin at 41:49 and I then was able to piece together what the grandfather said in the Teochew drama.
Here are my notes and I hope you can learn both Teochew and Mandarin.
