為情所困 what does this mean?

If you were to listen to this video, somewhere at the beginning, the man said to the young lady, “ui7cêng5so2kung3 為情所困｜为情所困”.

I cannot find this word in my huge Chinese dictionary with over 12,000 characters.

I therefore have to work back to find the meaning of this term.

ui7 comes from ing1ui7 因為｜因为 which means because of

cêng5 comes from aiⁿ3cêng5 愛情｜爱情 which means romantic love

so2 comes from so2iⁿ2 所以 which means therefore

kung3 困 means trapped

And I can confidently conclude that ui7cêng5so2kung3 means “being trapped in romantic love”.

I have watched Lim Dai Kim 林大欽 films and he explained very well how our complicated phrases came about and in fact many of our Teochew sayings came from Lim Dai Kim.

His ancestral home was in Pu5cang5 莆田 Hog4giang3 福建 but he was born, died and buried in Teochew.  We consider Lim Dai Kim to be our own people. Lim Dai Kim was the one and only Teochew zo6nguang5 狀元 i.e. someone who came first in a National Imperial Examination, which occurred during the Ming Dynasty. 

Ming Dynasty is called Mêng5 Ciao5 明朝 in Teochew.
