Modern day Swatow people have adopted many Dio'ion 潮陽  accent because the huge number of Dio'ion 潮陽 people living in Swatow. And many Swatow people say sleep as inh8 like people from 潮陽 amongst many other words including money is said as nging5 銀 instead of the original Swatow way of saying 銀 which is ngeng5 like the people of Teochew City.
