How does one remember “ziang2”? We all know we call a school principal as hao6ziang2 校長 and it is the same ziang2 長 as in gê1ziang2.

Then at the moment when replace this “ziang2” (and) read out as another sound

Swatow people will say “biêng3” 變as biang3

In the olden days, gê1dion2 was used to refer to or was the title of the person in charge or who supervised or managed a store or shop.

This word, same sound, is very unusual

I think he should have said “m6 dang5im1唔同音” not the same sound because o1zo1 and ao1zao1 have different sounds – or he could have said dang5ri7 同字 – same characters.

We, Teochew people, normally say tao5gai5 頭個 and not doin6ig4 gai7 which is a Mandarin Teochew!

gio3zo3 “o1zo1”

叫做 “鏖糟”

called as “o1zo1”

ziu6si6 hui1sion5 m6 gang2giu3 uê6sên1 nah4sab4siên3

就是非常唔講究衛生垃圾相｜就是非常唔讲究卫生垃圾相

precisely unusually not paying particular attention to hygiene, unhygienic habit

This word’s another pronunciation is “ao1zao1”

ia7ziu6si6 dan3 “lang6hui3”

That is to say “wasteful”

We have another word which has the same meaning as lang6hui3, wasteful, and it is said as “dag4neng7” and we know the neng7 character is 浪 but I have no idea what is the dag4 character. I cannot find the dag4 character in any of my Teochew dictionaries.
