I am doing a revision on this character 掛|挂 which we can pronounce as kua3, gua3 or guê3.

One’s leg is placed on that chair.

Why is it not both legs?

If it is both legs, then it would be said as sang1ka1 雙骹|双骹。

Whose legs?

The sentence does not disclose the leg belongs to whom.

(A) leg is placed on top of a chair.
