Explode

 Let us look at two similar examples pertaining to the word "explode"

liab8 za3tang5 bong3 si2 ngou6 lag8 nang5

粒炸彈迸死五六人｜粒炸弹迸死五六人

A bomb exploded killing five or six people.

Another example of use of “explode” is:

za3tang5 bao6za3 gai7 si5zung5, ua2 ngam1ho2 ziu6 do6 hing7dion5

炸彈爆炸個時陣，我啱好就在現場。｜炸弹爆炸个时阵，我啱好就在现场

When the bomb exploded, I so happened to be on the scene.

Do notice that the first sentence is a typical Teochew sentence and it begins with a Measure Word.   

In the second example, I actually changed a number of Mandarin Teochew words such as si5hao7 to si5zung5; gang1ho2 to ngam1ho2.  

I think we have to be verse with both our traditional Teochew words as well as the imported Mandarin Teochew words so we can move with the time and understand modern spoken Teochew Uê.
