Besides ngiang5 凝 there is another Teochew word which describes “cold”. It uses this character 凍|凍。
This character 凍|凍 can be said as dong3 or dang3.

said as dong3 including this Cantonese word.

Currently, we are in the middle of summer and the
temperature outside is 13o C and this is not said as ngiang5 or
dong3 or dang3 but is said as liang5.
