In the previous post on the new nursery rhyme, lah8lah8so1 was explained in such a complicated manner. The dictionary definition makes lah8lah8so1 sounds like it is referring to some rogues wondering around, loitering the streets for having nothing to do.
From my understanding of lah8lah8so1,
it just means to walk around an area leisurely, enjoying the weather and scenery.
It has a similar meaning to
another Teochew expression “gian5goi1 行街 ”
where a person or persons doing window
shopping or taking a stroll down a street.
Gian5goi1 行街 is not going to the shops but walking around a shopping centre
window shopping.
