I was thinking about he5pio6 魚鰾｜鱼鳔 [fish maw] last night while I was sleeping, not to eat but, I was wondering if the pio6 in pong3pio6 [firecrackers] is the same as the pio6 in he5pio6. In the morning, after I got up, I looked up Zhang Xiao Shan 2nd Ed and found pong3pio6 胖鰾｜胖鳔 on page 939 and it has the same pio6 as he5pio6 鰾｜鳔 。
Just a note: fireworks is said
as 煙花｜烟花 ing1huê1 – where ing1 is the
same as fumes you find in your kitchen or the smoke when you set something on
light and huê1 means flower. If your roots are in 揭陽
Gig4ion5, then you may say êng1huê1 instead of ing1huê1.
