There are many English names for this type of noodles which include: mung bean vermicelli, cellophane noodles, bean vermicelli, Chinese vermicelli, glass noodles. However, do you know what it is called in Teochew Uê? It is called hung2ciam1.

Edition Teochew dictionary on page 877.
It too has a lot of Mandarin names which include 冬粉 / 粉絲 / 豆粉絲
It is often written incorrectly in Teochew as 粉簽|粉签 where
the ciam1 is in ciam1mian5 簽名
as in to sign one’s name.
The ciam1 纖
in the glass noodles means fine or delicate.
