At the moment, it is raining on the west side of the building where I live and the east side has no rain. This makes me think of this Teochew saying:

What is a cang5huan7? In Standard Chinese is cang5gên2 田埂 which is an embankment or
footpath between fields.
The above saying describes the localised nature of thunderstorm in which it would rain on one field but not the other.
