Finding a perfect wife

YouTube sent me this short video today and it is about finding a perfect wife. It is a short video which teaches us lots of Teochew words. Many of these are imported from Mandarin, but nevertheless there are still many original Teochew expressions.

All characters used are from our Teochew language. If you want to see the Mandarin characters, please read the subtitles in the video.

Having a bath nursery rhyme

This is a Teochew nursery rhymewhich parents or grandparents sing to their children while bathing them.

The êg8 液 character used in the subtitles means liquid, like a hand liquid soap is called soi2ciu2êg8 洗手液

The lady in the video explains the meaning and significance of the nursery rhyme.
