How do you say sleep in Teochew? 

Do you know that depending on how you say sleep, people will know your roots? There are exceptions to this rule, of course. 

Swatow ngh8 汕頭	RiaoPêng ngh8 饒平	TêngHai ngh8 澄海
Teochew ug8 潮州	Gig'Ion in6 揭陽	Dio'Ion inh8 潮陽
Swatow inh8 汕頭	LLL enh8 = ngh8

In Lim Lung Lung's dictionary, he spells ngh8 as enh8 and Lim Lung Lung is from TêngHai and technically he would have said ngh8 [enh8] as to sleep. 

The question is why is people in Swatow saying inh8 and my theory is that there are many people from Dio'Ioⁿ living in Swatow.

ngh8 夗	to lie down, lay down – resting in a reclining position	躺下
gai5nang5 ngh8 loh8 ke3 個人夗落去∣个人夗落去	the person is lying down	人躺下去
